Automatic assistance and manual control

Settings → Controls has separate options for automatic attacks and temporary buffs, level-up cards and move evolution, and your next partner. Assistance uses the same available cards, slots, cooldowns and equipment rules as manual play; it does not make all learned moves fire together.

Cards remain visible briefly before an automatic choice. You can choose one yourself, or use the in-run AUTO button to stop automatic attacks and cards. You remain responsible for movement, avoiding attack warnings and opening or leaving encounters. Item and Bond choices remain available through their normal controls.

The menu can select an owned partner using its current permanent upgrades and starting move. Picking a partner yourself fixes your choice until you enable automatic partners again. Recommendations are practical estimates, not a guarantee that one Pokémon wins every matchup. Assistance never buys permanent upgrades or spends gacha tickets.

The number keys have different jobs in a fight and a level-up screen. Choose your card first, then use the active move icons to check which attack is selected.

Touch controls and the floating joystick

  1. Turn your phone or tablet to landscape.
  2. Touch an open part of the game and drag. The joystick appears where you begin the touch; it is not a fixed button in the corner.
  3. Release to stop moving. Start the next drag wherever is comfortable.
  4. Tap a move icon at the bottom to change the active attack.
  5. Tap the pause icon at the upper right to open the pause screen. Tap a displayed card to choose a level-up reward.

Open Settings → Controls to choose a Small, Normal or Large joystick. This changes how far you drag for movement; it does not change your Pokémon’s speed stat.

Why pause or attack switching can seem different

Co-op: opening your pause menu does not freeze your teammates’ battle. The host coordinates shared play, and separate shared choice screens can hold the group while a reward is chosen.

Only the active slot fires: the highlighted slot is your attack. A Bonded group inside it can contain several simultaneous moves. Switching away from that group changes the attack plan.

Choice Band: this held item prevents ordinary move switching. If number keys or Q/E do nothing while you wear it, check the item before diagnosing an input failure.

If movement or buttons do not respond

  1. Finish any open card, item or Bond choice. Movement is intentionally held during some decisions.
  2. Click or tap the game to return focus after reading another browser tab or an embedded help panel.
  3. Release and press the movement key again after switching tabs; the game clears held keys when it loses focus.
  4. On touch, lift your finger and start a fresh drag outside the HUD buttons.
  5. If actions appear delayed while effects are heavy, use Settings → Graphics → Low or Auto.

Before reloading, check your save status. A refresh does not resume the active battle.
