PokéSurvivor move evolutions and requirements

Raise a compatible base move to level 5, take its required stat card during the same run, then select the gold evolution reward. Buying a permanent upgrade does not satisfy that run-card requirement.

How to evolve a move

  1. Find your base move in the table below. Not every move has an evolution. In-game move guidance now shows the target and missing requirements before you reach maximum level.
  2. Choose its move-upgrade cards until it reaches level 5.
  3. Take at least one copy of the named run-stat card. You can take that card before or after reaching level 5.
  4. At a level-up choice, select the gold evolution card when the requirement is ready. Automatic card assistance can select this real offered reward for you; it still consumes that choice.

For example, Ember + Power becomes Fire Blast, Bubble + Sprint becomes Surf, and Confusion + Reflexes becomes Psyshock. These are move upgrades inside a run, not an evolution of your Pokémon species.

Names match the English in-game labels. Petal Blizzard → Petal Dance needs Synthesis; Razor Leaf → Leaf Storm needs Reflexes. These are different recipes. Buff moves do not have evolution recipes.

Which cards count as evolution requirements?

Run-stat cards used by the recipes
CardRun effect
Vigor+20 maximum HP, with the extra HP restored
Power+10% damage with all moves
Sprint+7% movement speed
Reflexes8% shorter move cooldown
Armor+6 percentage points of damage reduction, subject to the run cap
Synthesis+0.9 HP regenerated per second
Magnet+30% experience pickup radius
Learning+12% experience gained

These are cards chosen during the current run. A shop upgrade with a similar name, a held-item bonus or a naturally high Pokémon stat is not that card. One copy of the required card is enough for the recipe once the move reaches level 5.

Why is my move not evolving?

  • No recipe: check that the base move appears above. A buff cannot be forced to evolve.
  • Not level 5: choose move upgrades rather than unrelated cards until its ladder is complete.
  • Missing run card: select the exact required card. Early guidance and card descriptions identify the requirement; permanent shop upgrades do not replace that run-stat card.
  • Ready but unchanged: you still need the gold evolution reward, chosen manually or by enabled card assistance. Satisfying the conditions does not silently evolve the move.
  • Already evolved: this system does not offer a second evolution of the same evolved move.
